I’ve worked as a journalist and editor since I was in my teens, covering a range of topics that include parenting, food, lifestyle, consumer finance, urban planning, city and provincial politics and much more.

I started out in print, but have spent most of my career working online. At Canadian Living I handled the food section for Canada’s largest women’s website. As Senior Editor, I managed the food, parenting and pregnancy sections at and iVillageCanada, and was the founding editor and site manager for Sobeys’ LoveFood blog.

I have covered many beats, with a solid focus on food writing and editing. I worked with Canadian food writer Lucy Waverman as editorial assistant on two of her award-winning cookbooks (one of which earned a Gold Medal from Cuisine Canada and was nominated for a James Beard Foundation Cookbook Award). I have blogged about feeding families (including my own) for various sites, and handled editorial and art direction for the 20 Minute Supper Club (now the Food section) over at

In addition to content creation, I support the brands I work with through media appearances, managing blogger amplification panels, and creating and executing social media strategies.

My articles and photographs have appeared in various print publications, including Canadian Family, Shameless Magazine, Canadian Geographic, Quill & Quire, the Toronto Star and The Globe and Mail.
